I spent a lot of time reading threads on Mud, taking ideas to improve my rig. So, here is my '96 HDJ80 build thread from the other side of the Atlantic.

I bought it in 2001 and made many trips especially in North Africa and Eastern Europe.

-2 x Lightforce 170 striker
-Paris 4x4 Bullbar
-Barutel Sliders
-Satoshi grill mod
-OME 850/864 2inch lift kit
-265/75/16 MT BFGs
-President Harry III CB radio
-Yaesu FT-7900e VHF radio
-IBS dual battery system
-All American Import front intercooler
-Safari snorkel
-Multiple gauges : boost / EGT / oil pressure / water temp / water tank
-Engel MT45 fridge

My IC looks like the Safari model except hoses routing. More pics to come ...

Once mounted, you can't reinstall the horns to their original places. I replaced them with 2 Hella horn set in a small place, in front of my battery.

I like the skid! I was wondering how to deal with the steering stabilizer and now I know.

I like the skid plate, and I like the Hella Horns. Are those horns fairly loud? Attention grabbing? The stock horns are too weak.

sadly, no - our 80 came with them - only slightly louder than the wimpy OEM horns in the LX

They are much more efficient than the stock one even I was expecting much louder. However, they grab your attention.
