These inserts will allow you to insert your iPhone 6 Plus into a mount that fits into the double din space of your dash. No modification is required to the dash and the insert can be removed later.

These inserts are 3d printed and then finished and painted to remove the lines left by the 3d printing process.

This is for the iPhone 6 Plus mount only, has a hole that fits a standard Apple Lightning Connector (not included). $50 shipped.

Any questions let me know, can provide additional info or pictures on request.

Pretty cool, is there space for the top audio plug if you were to use it for Pandora, radio, GPS, etc...? looks like a nice and snug fit, just wondering where the cable would go, I guess you could route a hole on the right side just like the charger connect you have on the left side...

I could definitely make room for a hole for an audio plug. What are you going to run the audio plug to?

For me personally, I use bluetooth for audio.

iPhone over bluetooth to iSimple TranzItBlu ISFM22.

iSimple has rca audio out that goes to a preamp.

I use the AudioControl Matrix Plus. This unit takes the audio and bumps up the output levels. It also splits the incoming sound to front, rear and sub, if you run a sub.

From preamp front and rear sound go out to an amp and then onto the car speakers.

The bluetooth could be replaced with something like an iStreamer which would process audio through the lightning connector and provide really high quality sound. The rest of the components, preamp and amp would remain the same, just substitute the iSteamer for the iSimple ISFM22.

Sorry. I'd make one for the 6 but it wouldn't work as well because the 6 doesn't do the landscape mode home screen.

Just curious how solidly is it held in place? Like would an off roading bump in the road knock it out of place?

ThE phone is rock solid it won't move or rattle. The mount is solid as well and doesn't move or rattle. The fit is exact and slightly overhangs the right side and the left side is secured by the lightning connector. I've had it on a rough washboard road with no issue.

I have my dash off to hook up ARB switches, just removed the radio and getting ready to mount a CB when I came across this. This solves a lot of problems for me...but, of course, creates new ones.

I'm going to pull things apart and post up some photos and direction on how all of the electronics work together. It's actually fairly simple. I was lucky, I already had an amp installed by the previous owner so that bit was done already.

too cool for school.

I will take one. Pm sent

Really interested in this but I'm not very audio inclined. If I can follow the forth coming write up I'm in for one. Great idea!!

No write up yet, been super busy. I don't have any 91-94 mounts available and I have one 95-97 left right now. I'm waiting on one bearing to fix my 3d printer. I hope to have it later this week and then I'll knock out a few more of each.

Thanks for all of the orders so far.

Scott

Looks great! What are the options if you keep your phone in a case ?

I'd expect you'd need a different mount for every different case design, which means you'd need your own 3D printer, lol.

Very cool implementation! Is there room to make one that fits an Ipad mini with the same removable insert design?

I am not technical at all. Is there a way to install this and have a back up camera using the 6 plus as my monitor? Any way to keep factory sub, amp and speakers?
Tom
