Phils are close to 400 dollars for some flat bar and some curtain rods. In the 600 to 700 dollar range there are multiple vendors. His sliders are 25-30% of most other products out there. As far as I know, it’s the only one that doesn’t involve u bolts around the frame. I cannot fathom how much of a better deal one would need for a review.
@LandCruiserPhil has anyone reported damage from hard calls on the rail? If I’m looking at it right, it basically spreads the load along the pinch weld and reinforces it. Although I had envisioned a more typical slider approach, with a 180lbs RTT I doubt I’ll be running through every rock garden I come across anyway and for the type of trails I’ve run lately, these look like they will do most of the job I actually need.

So 25 to 30% makes no sense unless you mean in terms of functionality, which I would probably downgrade to 5%

PM me with the keyword "LCP" and receive FREE plans to build your own rock rails for under $100.
While the OP is fleecing people for rock rails, I am going to go back to doing real engineering on the 80 and 100 platforms and posting real tech for the benefit of others. Im sure he will bump this thread another thousand times in a geriatric/dementia induced fit of anger.
Edit: 5 smart people already! Enjoy your free plans folks
This might be a stupid question but I haven't looked close enough at it before and I'm nowhere near the truck to look at it now. Could the stock running boards go back on with these installed? Wife and grandkids need the running boards but would be nice to know there was something a little more substantial underneath to protect the body. Just in case of an errant rock or something.
