Tech on ever one of my post just email the link to the 2 guy that purchased rails this week for install tip, tech. Its what vendors do.
Will you send me some of your products for free for an unbiased review?

I do my own product testing no business benefit if you do it and I dont like sitting at home.
It would be bias is you received products for free anyway.

If you purchase something and dont like I give 100% refunds. I do not pay shipping on returns like Amazon but if my market cap ever reaches 850 billion I will.:)

His sliders are 25-30% of most other products out there. As far as I know, it’s the only one that doesn’t involve u bolts around the frame. I cannot fathom how much of a better deal one would need for a review.
@LandCruiserPhil has anyone reported damage from hard calls on the rail? If I’m looking at it right, it basically spreads the load along the pinch weld and reinforces it. Although I had envisioned a more typical slider approach, with a 180lbs RTT I doubt I’ll be running through every rock garden I come across anyway and for the type of trails I’ve run lately, these look like they will do most of the job I actually need.

Phils are close to 400 dollars for some flat bar and some curtain rods. In the 600 to 700 dollar range there are multiple vendors.

So 25 to 30% makes no sense unless you mean in terms of functionality, which I would probably downgrade to 5%

Its sad how some people are so jealous and intimidated by success of other that they only have negative things to say. You continuously take shots and spend the time to post negativity on rails without merit. We have met the needs of many guys with some of them as repeat customers as they move up in vehicle. I should thank you as your post always bring attention to our products and we see more sales.:)

For others with interest If you do not have a straight panel NO WHERE on your cruiser and you like 'the vehicle was stolen and rolled look' @nukegoat then we would strongly recommend using something else maybe like a buggy, LOL.

Many in stock and ready to ship for both 80 & 100 series. Order today as our ability to ship will be very limited do to our testing schedule until the end of the year. PM me the word nukegoat and get a FREE Land Cruiser sucks shirt with your Rock Rail order.:D

You are 100% correct I rarely meet people that make any contact equipped with our rails with the level of clearance they offer. I often go out of my way to find contact as they offer 20" of clearance. We can also meet the custom demands by others like the Maltec cabin truck shown above.

No flat bar used minimum thickness of material used with our rails is .090 tubing with welded caps. All work is done by an Arizona certified welder as quality is important.

To be fair other prices quoted above does not include shipping:frown:

Phil, you do know that Klien makes awls don't you??? You don't have to grind down a Philips! Or, is that just a well used awl??

Are you going to bring this out to the next club meeting?

OK back on task

Painted the Rails with Rust-Oleum Textured black. My favorite mod paint as its a perfect match with light textured powder coating and what is recommended for touch up by the powder coaters that do our Rear Flip Up Gullwinged Windows - Land Cruiser Products - LCP.

Side note: Gullwing window is another product that you will want to order soon as our shipping will be very limited on larger products until the end of the year due to our product testing schedule.

Leaving for Germany on Nov 13 with a final destination of Tunisia. You can follow me (LandCruiserPhil) on Instagram for this epic Land Cruiser related journey.

Because they were prefitted after the final finish they easily slide on. Bolts should be torqued a max of 26ft/lbs. If you ignore the torque you can and will snap the 10.9 studs. Because you are drilling 5 holes its easy to be a few thousands off and they wont want to slide on unassisted. If that is the case you have two choices. One the slightly over drill the holes needed for alignment or you can tighten the bolts evenly. If you try to fully tightening only one bolt to suck the rail into place you run a strong chance of breaking a stud. Again tighten evenly front to back not to exceed 26ft/lbs.

The fit is stealth and somewhat hard to see in pictures. I will take a factory front running board mud flap and trim the bottom to ~2". This really cleans up the look below the flare.

Ms LCP noticed them right off and has wife approval because with big sliders when your wife or you get out your pants are now dirty just about every time you get out but not a problem if you have rails.

This might be a stupid question but I haven't looked close enough at it before and I'm nowhere near the truck to look at it now. Could the stock running boards go back on with these installed? Wife and grandkids need the running boards but would be nice to know there was something a little more substantial underneath to protect the body. Just in case of an errant rock or something.

Not going to happen with Rails. The good news is BOR makes a very well built set of good looking running board sliders. A local friend runs them and they work very well for protection and steps.

Just wanted to post the latest Rock Rail feedback for those that are confused by Nukegoat negativity.

As quoted in the 100 section;)

Just wanted to comment after purchasing these.. They are AWESOME. Light weight and provide piece of mind without sacrificing clearance. Tested these pretty thoroughly in Chattanooga. Scrapped them both up good and the whole vehicle landed on the passenger side one.. Hardly a dent. Just touched them up and good to go. Really cant beat the price to your door. One of the best value items ive added to my cruiser.

Removed the top of the radiator saddle to eliminate some PO wiring I saw the bushings for the air to air intercooler were bad. Not sure if the picture below was a repair attempt.

The only bushing of the 4 that seems usable was clearly not a factory Safari part. It did give me an idea what was needed.

Put together some sized pieces of rubber hose and it looks like it will work well.

What 2 years under the hood looks like without a bath after 2 years in Arizona. Ready to reassemble right after the PO wiring is addressed, coming next.
