Got my Upstate Cruisers welcome letter and stickers this week! :D:bounce:

Hey guys, just bought my first LC. 1972 FJ40 w/ 2F out of 78 FJ55. Hard and soft top. 8000 warn winch, 33x12.5x15 BFG MT. It is a DD, a couple of issues that I plan on working on. Drove it from Gastonia, NC to Columbia, SC with no problems.

I LOVE THIS FJ!! I have wanted one for quite a while now. I sold my 05 Dbl Cab, 4x4 Taco so I could buy the FJ. Now the dream has become a reality.

I plan on adding PS and disc brakes to the front, and this forum has a ton of info. I am looking for anyone around the Columbia, SC area that would like to talk toy and wheel with.

Any info/advice is greatly appreciated!!

We are a sub chapter of the Upstate Cruisers and the big Annual Meeting is 19 September....check it out in the forums and maybe see you there. We also have our Lowcountry Boil in lower end of Outerbanks the end of September.....:steer:

Hello Everyone,

I new to the board, but have always wanted a solid front axle Land Cruiser. Recently I totaled my daily driver, and looking to get a Land Cruiser to replace it. I'm a student at Clemson University working on my graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. I look forward to learning about Land Cruisers, and getting to know everyone on the forums.

he has been around for a bit...yet to get him to our functions...hopefully we can turn it around this year. I hear the a****** VP is no longer in charge of things so it will be a bit friendlier atmosphere around here now. :D :D

Y'all play nice, now. We don't want to scare anyone off.

This is more of a farewell then an introduction. In leu of recent events wit my income, ive sold the TLC for a weekend roadster.

Was in the marked for a miata, The buyers Dad fladed out on me, was too good tobe true, should had him sign a agreement, oh well, guess it wasnt ment to be sold,

Buy a Honda S2000, trust me...

yea a AP1 would be nice, but im lookin for a fairly used RX7 now alot cheaper too, a roadster will be my midlife crisis car haha

Once again, buy an S2000. If your budget is anywhere under 10k, you'll be able to find an AP1. You'll hate having a rotary. I've driven many roadsters and the only one worth owning is the S2000 IMO. Nothing out handles it and nothing brings a bigger smile to my face than the S2000.

Here is a video of mine driving the dragon...
