Looks nice.....Welcome to the addiction!!!

Welcome, that 60 looks like one i inspected several months ago for a customer . Did it come from a dealer in Mt Pleasant?
I got it from a guy in greenville, he was the owner since 1988.
It is all stock except some ugly aluminum wheels he put on, I painted them black until I get something new.

New Meat at old meat

BBQ and a new member life is good hope I can make it too!!!:)

You know...I have been seeing this thread for over a year now, and it never even dawned on me that I haven't posted on it yet!

I'm Greg French, a science teacher and rock star from Murder Beach.
I drive a vegetable oil powered 81 Troopie as my daily driver. Those that have been here a while know me. New folks...I haven't really been around much for the past year or so, but I am working that out and plan on being able to do more events.

Hello Again

Thought I'd re-introduce myself. Stu Robertson from West Ashley. LC Addict. Drove an FJ60 for my first car and it's been all landcruiser ever since. Between my Dad and sister, our family has had over 10 of them.

My previous folly was a 72 FJ55 that I restored over the last few years. The project was amazing...I learned so much, lots do to the fine people in this club. But as the completed truck sat in my garage, I started wishing I could spend less time fixing things and more time out on the open road, camping, trail riding, etc. So I did what most consider crazy and sold the 55 and my DD (hatchback car) and bought an FJC. Not quite as cool as a restored LC, but way more versitile for me.

I had it painted Freeborn red (T-340), the old FJ40 color, whited out the bib, and slapped some BFG's on. I'm ready to go places now AND I GET TO DRIVE IT EVERY DAY!:D I'm sure many more mods will come at some point, but I am excited for now. Hope to get back into an FJ40 at some point for the topless experience:rolleyes:.

See yall out at the meeting Saturday.

Welcome Hunter! Can't wait to see pics of your Icon lift. Looks like some guys are going to Gulches on the weekend of Aug 21st. Check out the meeting thread, towards the end. You can go to UpstateCruisers.com to pay dues ($15/ year). Maybe wait until Sept. 1st though since it starts the new membership year.

Too late lol, already paid.

While we are on an introduction kick, I guess I should introduce myself too.

My name is Jeremy Holt, I live in the Columbia/Harbison area and work as a head estimator for a construction management firm. I have been a paying member for about 3 years now, but have only been active in a meeting and the 1st annual boil. My rig has been an ongoing project so I haven't had a running rig to attend events and meetings with until now.

I have recently purchased a 2007 Tacoma for towing, camping, boating, and expedition wheeling. I also have a 1971 FJ40 that everyone, Brock, swears does not exist. Pics will follow soon of both rigs at home resting for now, and hopefully some of them both wheeling in the next couple of weeks.

Hope to meet some new faces, and reunite with some old at the upcoming boil and UC Annual soon!

Jeremy

Hey,

Figured I'd introduce myself on here; I've only had a few random posts. In July, the wife and I moved from CT to Folly. Moving down here I couldn't bring the bike (condo regime doesn't allow it) so I started looking for a FJ40.

Came on here, ended up meeting up with another member, and picked up a 1977 FJ40; a all might recognize it. So, now I've got a stock 2007 FJ Cruiser, and a '77. '77 is now my daily driver, save for any long trips. I've had it up to Goose Creek, North Charleston, Boone Hall, downtown, and of course JI/Folly, etc... but not too too far.

If ya all know the FJ40 from before, I've done just a few things more to it:

- Marine MP3 Headunit, Wakeboard Bar Speakers
- Autometer Gauges
- Moved the locker up front
- Wet Okole Seat Covers

Glenn's done some great work; I'm real impressed so far. Here's a few camera phone shots of the additions.
