That's that dude. Correction, we buried the FJ60 to the floorboards! I don't know that he's ever found out so sssshhhh...

And thank you Michael for not telling the story of the premature demise of that truck. We can also share stories of Timmy's FJ40 with the duct tape hood and fence post door clips.

Hope the lowcountry boil was a good time and I look forward to meeting y'all at the next get together.

Cheers,
Alex
Would you care to elaborate on the premature demise? Perhaps over a few beers and some wrenches?

Here's the before and after. 35" BFG A/T, Old Man Emu 2.5" Lift, Borla Exhaust are the major upgrades. I've also replaced the marker/turn signals with clear lights (just cleans it up a bit), replaced my center console leather, added a bluetooth head-unit and fixed a bunch of small doodads and whatzits. The Slee Shortbus bumper should be here in a few weeks, got to decide if I want to add a winch. Man, I love this truck.

I'll keep an eye on the group's schedule and hope to meet up with y'all soon to tell stories of @BBQ BOY as a yout, as well as the saga of our old FJ60.

Cheers,
Alex

looks good, just in time for the parade

Looks great, Alex.

Looks awesome man! Can wait to see it in person!

anyone have any experience with speedos? my speedo has been on the fritz for about a month now. sometimes it will work, sometimes it will get stuck at 25mph, and other times it doesnt even move. Any suggestions?

I had to replace a speedo cable on a 1967 Mustang once... But not on an 80. Did you check the tech section on the forum? We could have a HAMOM if you can isolate the problem...

we should be able to fix it, just find where the speed sensor is. It shouldbe on the transfer case somewhere.

sending sensor on Xfer, ive drug mine on a few things when the TLC used to go offroading... check the wires

i found the speed sensor... it took a little bit of elbow grease to get it off considering it was caked with mud. I unplugged the connector and cleaned it up. It worked for a day after that and now its back to not working.

On a good note, i went home and this is what i was welcomed to...
