Intermittent wiper woes (1 Viewer)

Hi all, visiting from the 45 and hardcore section.

I have a fairly complicated frankenstein build involving a 98 lexus LS400, a 66 FJ45 and a 93 LN130 jdm surf.

The surf contributed the steering column and wiper motor and switches, as well as other things, but this is about the wiper system.

So I have the surf wiper motor all wired up to the column switch as it should be. It works on low and high and returns to park correctly, but I have no intermittent.

Coming out of the wiper stalk is a small loom of 3 wires to a small connector. Where does that go? Should it go to some type of intermittent relay or timer?

I've been searching not just the forum but the wider net for the better part of the day and I cannot find an FSM EWD or anything that directly answers my issue.

Short answer, yes. Here is a scan of the 4Runner wiper circuit, 2 pages. Relay is on page 2.

Awesome! Can't tell you how long I've been looking for this diagram!!
You wouldn't happen to know or have a pic of the relay itself? I kept the whole loom and the fuse boxes out of the surf, so I should have it some where, just need to know what it looks like

Just looking at it all again, I'm not sure this is the diagram for my surf.
Here's a couple of pics of the combo switch I'm working with....

Is this supposed to be the intermittent relay here??

And then this is the pig tail and plug I'm not sure about, but thinking about it, it must be for the rear wiper, right??

OK great, thanks. Will go through them all again but fairly sure I don't have that. I'm not sure if because mine is a JDM spec LN 130 it has the relay integrated into the combo switch or if I'm just missing something
