2007 LC - 113k. No engine related service recently and has been driving fine up to now.

Just began happening after a 2hr round trip drive at 80mph - I start up the car and the idle is super rough and inconsistent. Vehicle will shake and it will feel like its about to stall but hasn't actually done it yet. RPM's dip down to about 400 and come back up. I can press the gas pedal to the floor with no change in RPM or noise level, shift into D and car wont move.

After turning it off and back on a few times and it finally felt normal and I was able to drive ~5 minutes home. No CEL, and no codes on OBDII reader (have not looked at tech stream yet). Turned the car off and back on after parking at home - started exhibiting symptoms from first paragraph again.

Does this sound like a bad ignition coil? Or something else? Any input is appreciated.

Or the beginning death rattles of a failing fuel pump that is becoming overworked too easily...
The initial signs of the failing fuel pump are very intermittent.

Super rough SEEMS to indicate that it's missing on more than one cylinder when the problem presents.

Picked up some CRC MAF and Throttle Body cleaner (separate cans) and cleaned both this morning.

For the MAF I unplugged and unscrewed it from its spot. Sprayed the MAF cleaner onto the inside of it for a few seconds.

While the MAFS was drying I cleaned the throttle body by following the Car Care Nut's video here.

Things of Note - While I cleaned a good bit of soot from the throttle body, there was no change in idle speeds upon startup as noted in the Car Care Nut's video. What I did get upon startup was the CEL and VSC/TRAC Off lights. Ran the codes and got P0102 and P0113. I cleared them and drove around town without them coming back.

Time will tell if the symptoms come back, but if so I will start looking at the fuel pump. Thank you guys for the input!
