2007 LC - 113k. No engine related service recently and has been driving fine up to now.
Just began happening after a 2hr round trip drive at 80mph - I start up the car and the idle is super rough and inconsistent. Vehicle will shake and it will feel like its about to stall but hasn't actually done it yet. RPM's dip down to about 400 and come back up. I can press the gas pedal to the floor with no change in RPM or noise level, shift into D and car wont move.
After turning it off and back on a few times and it finally felt normal and I was able to drive ~5 minutes home. No CEL, and no codes on OBDII reader (have not looked at tech stream yet). Turned the car off and back on after parking at home - started exhibiting symptoms from first paragraph again.
Does this sound like a bad ignition coil? Or something else? Any input is appreciated.
