Does anyone make an overhead storage rack for the interior of the 80 that would use the space above the 3rd row seats? I've taken my seats out and need to store some stuff up top away from the dogs.

I was thinking of welding something that attacheds to the 3rd row hand holds and seat belt bolts but thought I would check here first...

Cheers,
Doschev

A board member (Hltopper perhaps?) has fabricated a space such as you have described.

It would be fairly easy to do. You could utilize the third row grab handle mounting points to work from.

I'll help you out a little. Check this thread for some pictures of Pimp's 80.

I'm still looking

I've read the posts and am still looking for a rigid overhead rack. I really like the barrier but I would be interested in that IN ADDITION to the overhead storage. I'll keep lookingl...

yeah it was SUPER simple to make, I could have tricked it out but I saw no need to, the rear shelf uses the old grab handle captive huts for attachments.

the bungy deal was made while laying on my back in the back seat.......it just kinda came to me in a foggy haze ;)

i would just drill a couple of holes in the roof of your 80 and use some binder twine and bungie cords. ;) that sounds like a simple solution
