Wayne, if you ever do go back there, try and get a shot of the mining company logo on the door. I've worked on a few Land-Rover pickups that had similar logos on there, actually had one that was used in the construction of a highway up in Labrador (unfortunately the logo was difficult to make out due to the 17 coats of house paint on top that i stripped off). I just have a thing for pickups with logos on their doors, my IIA had a towing company's logo on it, and my other rover had Fred's steel stencilled on the door.

Sure is nice to see that firstly they are out there and in good shape, and that you're enough of a nice person to not try and schooze him out of them. Gotta respect that.

Hey Wayne, if (when?) you ever buy that 45, and I would assume return it to as new or better condition, are you going to try to reproduce the door decals?

#19 I could just cry....that has to be one of the most beautiful barns I have ever seen in my life.

LOL The barn or the cruisers. There are still quite a few good old cruisers on the roads here. As for the barn it looks like what is known locally as an Igloo, were quite a few left here after WW2 by the Yanks and are still good as new.Townsville was a big staging base, more Yanks than Locals at that time. Rumours still abound about Jeeps , munitions , aero engines for bombers and fighters and such that were stored in tunnels under Castel Hill and left there when the tunnel entrances were blown up. A lot of stuff was dumped into the sea also. Bless them all.

I would like the dibs on the HJ60! Wow.

I would return it to the same shape as when he first started running it, including his decals and any other features he added, I think it gives the truck character and respect to the gent that has offered me such honour.
cheers

that was my reaction when i saw it bu tthat is his wife's runner...

I think that a resto 45 with the door decals would be sweet. Industrial Graphics east of 52 ST and a bit south of Peigan could help with those. Its in behind a Moxie's or something on 52nd-address is in the book. Barry or Craig could fix you up. I hope it works out for you. Its a shame to see something like that sitting there not being appreciated except to "keep the seals lubed".
