I completed a redline treatment about 4 months ago. One full bottle at fill-up, a half bottle at the next fill-up, and I have been adding the recommended amount as per the bottle after that at every fill-up going forward.

Well, my 80 had a habit of setting a code 28 (post oxygen sensor) about every third or fourth time I would run it for about a year prior to the redline treatment. I would paperclip check the code and just reset it by pulling the EFI fuse and go on intending to replace the oxygen sensors since perrformance did not seem to be suffering. I had ordered the sensors about the same time I started the redline treatment and have them ready to install in the garage. Now, since the treatment began, I am not setting the code 28 !?!? (or any other code for that matter).

I am not wanting to be the poster child for redline, but I have waited this long with the results and have not posted sooner because I just knew it would set the code again. I'm tried of waiting. I believe the redline may have cleaned or otherwise is having some benefit to my 02 sensors. I also feel the rig runs better after the treatment....

Go figure...Just an FYI

I haven't been getting any codes, but I recently ran a bottle of Techron concentrate through a tank of gas, followed by a tank with Redline.

I didn't notice any difference at first, but a couple tanks after the Redline, I notice a perceptible increase in "pep." She feels a bit stronger at low rpm acceleration.

Fuel economy has also increased from about 11.5 to 13 mpg in that same time period, but I'm pretty sure we (Salt Lake City) came off our oxygenated fuel around the same time (anyone know the specific dates that SLC dispenses oxygenated gasoline?).

Can't really isolate the effects of Techron vs. Redline vs. non-winter gasoline, but one or all of the three are making things burn a bit better in my 80.

I'll be putting in new O2 sensors in the next couple weeks.

I experienced the same type thing. After 3 treatments of redline my code 26 (o2 sensor circuit related) disappeared. My 91 used to set the code frequently, not all the time. Redline seems to work on the sensors.

In Utah county before we got rid of the oxy fuel it was nov 1 - mar 1. I bet its the same.
