I will put together a brand new thread soon that will have number codes for each option and color. That way I will know exactly what emblem and color combo you want and for what model (LX or Yota).

So I have been fiddling around with the rear emblem designs. I tried to listen to suggestions and come up with some original designs. I expanded my ideas into 4 style and not the two I originally mentioned. I have the "80" logo that simply replaces the factory rear emblem in the exact spot. I made sure the back edge followed the curvature on the rear hatch in that exact spot. I also designed a rear emblem that fits OVER the rear factory center emblem. I did this because my wife freaked when she saw me with her blow dryer and a blade trying to get the "L" emblem off. She came running outside and said 3 loud and simple words, "NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!". The LX is more her DD and my weekend trail rig so I have to keep her happy and keep the factory rear emblem on. I realized I needed to probably make a rear emblem that mounted on top of the factory one in case people didn't want to remove the factory one. I also did a flat emblem that can mount anywhere on the tail gate that has a flat surface which is most of the tail gate. I also did a traditional FJ40 emblem that matches the curvature of the upper hatch. I had a couple people ask for that as well. Please understand that the factory replacement emblem, the emblem that mounts OVER the factory emblem, and then the flat emblem (mounts to tail gate) can all be interchanged with any other emblem design I have shown. If you want an "80" emblem that fits over the factory emblem then I can do that. If you want a flat 80 to mount to the tail gate then I can do that as well and any other combo. It was the set up work that took the time. Cutting text off one emblem template and pasting it to another is easy. Here's some pics. Sorry for the bad lighting and filthy rig. I also used cheap masking tape to hold them in place so they aren't real snug, but they do fit really snug when you just hold them in place. Some 3M adhesive would keep them nice and snug.

My rear toyota "sombrero" emblem that fell off was mounted on the left side of the upper gate. Now there are two holes there. Would these fit there? I'm not sure if its the same dimensions as the cruisers with them in the middle.

I pictured the rear to be a little smaller than the OEM but same length. Something like Land Cruiser FZJ80. Smaller in height than the original to keep it away from the the edge of the hatch. It always pits and chips the paint between the edge and emblem. Round emblems (IMO) don't work.

I'm not understanding what your saying. could you elaborate on this a little more? When you mentioned "the rear" are you talking about the factory rear emblem at the middle of the rear hatch? I'm also not quite sure what's pitting and chipping?
