Hello folks, my 87's hatch window does not have the defog lines. Considering I need to buy a window what other mods are needed in my truck. I purchased a dash switch but wonder if Toyota installed the appropriate wiring. What if not? is this a complicated task:hmm:.

Since my '85 has the wiring, I would expect that your '87 would, too. If not, one wire runs from the fuse box (DEFOG) to the switch. One wire ground the little light in the switch so you know it's on. A thrird wire runs to the back window to connect to the defog strips. The other end of the strips are grounded. Since it's resistive heating, it doesn't matter which end is power and which end is ground.
