Hit the top of the stud with a brass drift
I looked into it and read where the Spartan is a pretty stout lunch box locker. It only costs $260 and for $25 more I got a 3 year “no questions asked” warrantee.I remember your other thread. Good choice on the spartan! Install was pretty straightforward for me. Looking forward to the pics![]()
hopefully your cross pin doesnt hit the gears
I've have experiences when installing lockers with aftermarket gears that the cross pin may contact the thicker ring gear. The easist way to install in this situation is to remove the ring gear, install the cross pin, grind the cross pin flush with the carrier, and reinstall the ring. Why do you state this?

My stock 4.10 ring gear did NOT cause problems installing the pin but the instructions warned that gear sets such as 4.88:1 and 5.13:1 may require removal of the ring gear for installing.I've have experiences when installing lockers with aftermarket gears that the cross pin may contact the thicker ring gear.
