I am outboarding my spring mounts to install a 60 series axle in the front of my 73 40. I run 1.5" spacers so might as well just use a 3" wider axle for disk brakes.

Do I need to make any adjustments to my drive line with a stock 3 speed tranny and T case?

Are you going to be moving the axle forward or rearward from where it is right now?

Are you going to be swapping your current front differential into the 60 housing?

Have you read through any of the threads on this swap?

Yes I have read the threads about the swap but don't recall reading about needing to make special accomidations for the drive line. My front springs are flipped and I have a longer front DL as it sits SUA with 4" lift. I am swapping in my 40's 3rd.

sure did and printed it out as a guide and searched for driveline and drive line.

My question is because the 3rd is a bit more to the right of the 40 3rd and don't know if it will be close enough to run.
