Bought one from here this week. For 19 shipped I figured what the heck. Looks like they have them for 14 today as well.

I've been eying one for a long time. Should in very handy.

that seems to be a good price.
Those things in general are not so great for accurate absolute measurements but are very handy for relative temp measts of similar materials in similar condition. As in a brake rotor is much hotter than the others etc.

I've been using a probe on my fluke memter but that's a pain in the ass and this seems so much quicker. I'll be interested in seeing how accurate it is.

not so easy to make good surface measurements with a probe either, unless it conforms to the surface shape, and is insulated elsewhere.

i have 2 flukes and i like them but never used the probe
