I am searching for a new cruiser. When it comes to buying from Cali, I often see "fees paid to date".

What exactly does this mean?

If the fees are not paid to date and someone purchases that vehicle, and it is going out of state, does that mean the fees are the purchasers responsibility or does it not matter?

Or the purchasers responsibility only if it stays in California? Also does the license plate stay with the truck or does the owner keep it.

Is this typical for most states?

The truck will be going to Canada and I am familiar with the import as I brought a motorcycle from Maine years ago.

I need to have a rust free truck, high mileage is not a deal breaker.

In California...fees follow the vehicle. Californians can run the vin thru dmv online and search to see if there’s any backfees prior to purchase.

In Cali plates stay with the truck unless they are personalized....then the seller needs to either decline keeping them and the buyer can then take on the personalized ones (fees)or turn them in and avoid the fees and just get standard issue plates.

Anything going to Canada would be free n clear and ready for all the rust you Canadians will throw at em’.

I have oodles of 40s for sale.... all California originals uncut, what’s your price range?

The Blue one is a 72-Spring over,power steering,F engine,disc brakes, 37’s/17”fjsteelies.

the Factory Softtop is a 74..F 1.5engine, split rims,bench seat, 255/85/16 (skinny33’s)

I guess I should be more specific then , 91-92, white exterior with grey cloth interior. Rust free, or close to rust free and $3500-4500 budget
