So ended up replacing rotors with Oem and ebc 7000 pads (fronts only so far) to try and correct lack of braking power after upgrading from 31 inch tires to 35's as per the thread - major difference - I'd say braking is back to 'normal'!

Unfortunately there will be a trade off. If you have the same braking 'effort' without increased pedal pressure and yet have increased tyre size from 31 to 35, then the abrasive properties of the brake pads will be higher.
You will find the wear rate of the pads and discs higher and of course the amount of brake dust deposited on your wheel rims, you should now do the rears to match.
Good to hear you have started to address braking after wheel mods, many don't bother.
yep - good points - thanks Dave - I've got the rear oem rotors and ebc 6000's to go in the back - just got to find the time to get them done - the fronts took way longer than expected - first time changing out the rotors, wheel bearings etc etc
Correct, shed loads of older (or heavier) cars had this setup. I seem to remember 60, 70 and early 80 years on the typical saloon had the disc on rear of hub setup, RPITA!
