In the process of purchasing the Factory Manuals for my 1978 FJ40

I have been checking the forum and I know the FSM is the preferred manual of choice.
I checked Amazon and they have both the Body and Engine Manuals for less than $20 each.

Toyota Land Cruiser Repair Manual - Chassis & Body - 1975-1980

Toyota 2F Engine Repair Manual: Aug. 1980

1. Are these the correct manuals for my vehicle?
2. Anything else you would recommend?
3. Is this a good deal or is there a better place to purchase them?

I bought that 75-80 manual from Amazon, as I wanted the hard copy rather than just printing out the PDF that
Trollhole so generously posted in the link above (and at $20 it may be a wash compared to printing out the entire PDF). The cover on the PDF is a little different (doesn't have the year range) but the pages I've focused on appear the same. If you can hold off a day or two I can give it a more thorough comparison.

Thanks, I saw that post but was unsure what went with my 1978 fj40. The printed version seemed like a much easier process, but again you cant beat free.

Not sure if you're interested, but the Emissions Manual is separate.

I think I paid more than $20 for each of those books when I bought them in 1977 and back then money was worth something.

I flipped the first 100 or so pages of the 75-80 manual on Amazon, and compared to the Trollhole 75 chassis and body manual (http://www.trollholescruisers.com/T...40-43-45-55BJ40-43HJ45chassis-body-manual.pdf). In all of those page, there was one thing that appeared different in the Trollhole version - the clutch diagram shows an Australia only difference that doesn't show up on the Amazon version. I'm thinking either Trollhole's PDF or that Amazon version will work for your 78. Interestingly, Trollhole's PDF has better quality on the pictures. It looks like the manual on Amazon was a copy of a copy.
