Just thought i'd share my latest story of luck...

Wife and I took a load of recyclables up to the container at Blue Ridge HS in Greer last Sunday night. While shoving some paper items into the bin, I heard the unmistakable "clank" of my wedding ring flying off my finger and landing in the container.

I tried to call the county's phone number for the recycling coordinator, but of course, no message machine, so I emailed that person as well as the supervisor for solid waste.

I received a phone call first thing on Monday morning from Wendy (recycling coordinator) who got in touch with the 3rd party who handles the material (Sonoco, formerly American Recycling off of White Horse Rd), who would allow me to be at the facility when the container arrived. Luckily that happened to be this morning.

The folks at Sonoco were not only nice enough to allow me to look through the pile as it was dumped, but also had about a dozen employees help me look.

Long story short, I found the ring when I stepped on it while searching.

I am buying their team lunch today as a thank you, but I just wanted to let everyone know that occasionally great service and compassion still exist!
