thanks for the link. Looks to be a PITA. Definately will be asking is that repair has been done recently to any rigs I look at.

If you do it yourself, PHH will cost less than $20 for top of the line clamps and hose, probably 2 hours of frustraion. It is a one time fix, you'll never do it again. If you have it done, you may pay $100 or $200 bucks, depending on the shop.

It's more just a pain, rather than difficult, but of course it'd be nice if it was already done.

Other common wear items to ask about are the radiator (brass in 93-94, aluminum in 95-97), EGR system, u joints, and common rust spots are the rear hatch just below the glass, the roof where the rack mounts, and sometimes near the windshield due to a leaky seal.
