IH8MUD Classifieds Scam

Beware that there are scammers on I8MUD that are trolling the classifieds. I got caught!! I replied to a FJ55 part where I was told it was spoken for and I asked to be second in line if it fell through. That part of the story was legitimate. Then a few days later I received a text from what I thought was the part owner saying the first buyer fell through and did I still want it. That was the start of the scam. My number was on MUD from the last Pig Party gathering so this scammer has gone deep into the posts to find and connect dots. I know the part owner from previous pig parties so my guard was down. The scammer impersonated him. The $ doesn’t really matter. Be more vigilant and careful. Hope this helps.
