Unfortunately I won't make it to the BBQ at RHT. I've got a shooting date with some guys from work. We don't get many opportunities to get together and we've been wanting to try out each others guns, do some zeroing in and some skeet murder.
I'm going to try skeet with my 18" bbl Rem 870. Should be a riot. [Get it, riot gun? Oh well].

I just noticed some new icons at the btm lhs of the post boxes. At least they're new to me, hadn't seen them before. How do you check the 'reputation' one? See what people are saying? This is new, right?

If someone gives you a 'kudos' then it should show up in your User Control Panel (CP). The one offering the rep point to you gets an opportunity to add a personal note, so that you know why you got it. This function got out of hand over on the Blue forum, so they ditched it.

Yeah really. What's that, 14" barrel? My Class III has an 870 that's under 12" total, legal for concealed carry. Two round mag I think. Bit spendy for me, probably near a grand with fees. Also maybe major ATF spotlight.
Mine has the regular stock, I didn't want a cruiser stock but I might get one with the grip, maybe also a shot feeder.

Was that drug interdiction work? What was your loadout? What's that optic, how's it mount?
What's that on your thigh, first aid? I have a tac holster for the 1911 that looks like that but looks like your sidearm is on your hip. Lots of questions, you can PM if you'd rather.

Sorry I took so long to reply.

That was back in 05. I was stationed at MSO (marine safety office) Port Arthur TX. My job was strictly port security. The 870 is the riot police model, 14in barrel. I forgot the optic on it. It was a red dot sight. They said the sight cost more than the gun. I can find out exact info if you want me to. We did not have to know every detail about the guns, just how and when to use them. They do not let you keep you weapon, you have to check it out/in everyday.

That pack on my thigh that day was 20 extra rounds for the 870, 10rounds of 00 buck shot, and 10 slugs. Also had on my belt with hand cuffs, pepper spray, expandable baton, 2 extra mags of 9mm, Beretta 9mm. Spyderco Endura in my pocket.

I joined as a reservist in 99 out of high school. Got recalled to active duty 3 different times. Finished my contract in 07. Ask whatever questions you have, I will be happy to answer them.

I have been meaning to meet up with you at work, but I get there in time to clock in and jet at 525 to beat the traffic out of the back parking lot.

Oh wait! Maybe you mean the addict thing. Well . . . I've been in a 12 step program for 25 years, probably 2000 or 3000 meetings. I think I get the gist of it.

Craptac, why don't we do lunch some day? Or early coffee, what time do you get there?

Yes, I'll be there tomorrow.
My team area is just north of the end of F1B, between that and the east end of the north line, if that makes any sense. When you come into assembly by the stacker, cut diagonally across the four slat conveyors (that's F1B) and there are two glass box team areas. Test is the one on the left. Sorry I don't recall the column numbers, probably P12 or so.

I usually get to the team area about 6:20-6:25 after going through the cafeteria to pick up a coffee.
Or come by for lunch. We're ordering out from Zaxby's but you're welcome to sit with us if you bring yours.

I'm always there for lunch, I bring my own. And between 6:15 and 6:30, or you might say +/- 6:22.5 ha ha. Except when Team 4 is off which is next Tuesday, or next Th-Mon when I'm on vacation, also the first two weeks of July. But I'm always there otherwise, unless I'm not.
