Hey all

Got into my rig this morning and I noticed I had to use a bit of force to insert and remove the key from the ignition.

First instinct is to hit it with WD40 (water dispersant spray for the Americans here) but I'm wary of doing anything that might suddenly render it non funtional.

I saw on another forum powdered graphite be recommended and it was claimed its the only thing that won't attract gunk and kill the barrel... Any advice appreciated

When spraying any lube into a key tumbler, you might get any old stuck tumblers loose and to engage. This may prevent you from turning the key barrell. We are well aware of WD-40 and use it for everything (except when cooking). see where it is made in: San Diego California.

The best part about WD40 is that it will pretty much evaporate in 3 days. Next time, use a silicone spray for your ignition (assuming you haven't already used graphite or a powdered lube in the past).
