For some reason, the FSM and Toyota sites don't have too much info on the pulleys. I'm trying to figure out whether the two idler pulleys are the same, A/C pulley and PS pulley. They look a little different to me so should I also assume the bearings will be different?

They're slightly different. I have this info handy because I'm doing mine too.

AC idler pulley - part no 88440-35010. Still available new from Toyota or A/C Idler Pulley 3F 88-90 & 2H 85-90 [C 88440-35010] - $39.99 : CruiserParts.net, Toyota Landcruiser Parts

PS idler pulley - I believe this is no longer available from toyota, but O'Reilly's carries a replacement that I bought that looks just like OEM. It's Gates pulley 38036. Or cruiser parts has rebuilt toyota if you want to pay a little more Power Steering Idler Tension Pulley for 88-92 FJ62 FJ80 Rebuilt [16630-61020 - A] - $39.43 : CruiserParts.net, Toyota Landcruiser Parts

EDIT: the gates pulley was slightly different and did not work.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm assuming the rebuilt pulley just changed the bearing, but if it's not OEM bearing then really no benefit, right?

Yeah I would guess they repaint it and put a new bearing in... I guess if you go for the rebuilt Toyota part you know all the pulley dimensions are right on.

Bought the new A/C pulley but replacing the P/S pulley bearing... just came in. Does anyone repaint these pulleys? what's the best paint not to have squeals, or does this not matter which paint you use?

i've pulled the HB so I'm thinking of painting the outside pulley as well.

BTW, the PO or his mechanic really screwed up the bolts on the crankshaft timing cover. I'm thinking now that is the reason for the leaks. Now I'm not sure the screws are the right dimension. Anyone have the dimensions of these B and C so I can double check their length?

They look a lot like the 1HZ 1HD T idler. I dont recommend the vendor, they have history.

Look at your existing pulley bearing, get the number off it, cross it and order a new bearing, and put it in. The bearings are so cheap I usually order at least 4 in case I ever need to do it again. Then you know you have the right pulley.:)

The Acrylic Enamel from Rustoleum (I get it at Autozone) is a much better rattle can paint than any other. Don't worry about the the paint and the belts....About 20 minutes and all the paint will be gone where the belt runs anyway. :)
