Open Source Drawer System for the GX. It took me about 6-7 months to figure all this out and find the time to work on it, but you should be able to build your own in a weekend or two with my parts list and links. The total cost of the drawer system is $785. Add another couple of hundred for the platform if you don't have one. I hope this helps you guys who like to build and don't want to spend $1500-2K for metal boxes or $4K for a similar modular system. Over the summer, I'll do the finishing touches (laminate top, HDPE drawer faces, etc.) and share that info as well.

Here's the post where I chronicled the build and got a ton of great advice along the way from the Mud community. I'll keep adding stuff to that between video posts, so check there for the latest info on the finishing, the 12v power panel I built for the side, the fridge slide install, etc.

I can attest after spending a weekend with Jake and family overlanding Sedona, that it really is a good looking and functional drawer system!
Although he didn't show the cool fridge drop-slide and how there's a removable panel that covers the drivers middle seat.

I love using T-slot extrusions and have built test fixtures for work with them. They really are like the Erector Sets of the 21st century!

Jake, an idea for your drawer ends, have you considered using faux carbon fiber plastic sheet? Cheap, light weight, and keeps with your black-on-black theme.

Will cover the finishing stuff I've been working on in the next video. I also got the platform extension built last weekend. Once I get the laminate and drawer faces done I'll make another video that covers all the extras and the power panel I made. That one will be sponsored by Bison gear who makes the fridge slide so I'll cover that then too.
