1993 1fze engine. Great runner doesn’t smoke. Compression is good. The odometer said 228k but I think this engine has had work done to it as it runs so strong. $1000

Hopefully I did this right.

I have some videos of it running as well.

Got some close up photos of the nuts and bolts for the intake, exhaust, etc that might show if they've been turned/replaced??

I don’t know. Maybe it hasn’t been touched. The moons seem too clean. Looks like a newer fuel filter. I just couldn’t believe the compression and it just purrs.

Half Moon FIPG does look neater than factory so the valve cover may have been off at some point. The bolt heads for the water bypass pipe that runs above the belts over to the Tstat housing look to have been turned, but the other nuts/bolts don't (or just can't tell due to grime). So IDK. Could be an original engine/head that was taken care of. Level of oil consumption would help if known??

I don't know. I didn't drive this other than around our property. It was in an accident.

No the harness went with the engine. Honestly you are better off buying a new harness anyway. I've parted out a ton of 80s and I can tell you that the harnesses usually need replacing. They get melted by the EGR pipe and the connectors get brittle from all of the heat cycles (cooling and heating).

I like it when people post compression numbers, easy to do, engines without compression numbers are worth very little. Nice job.
Sometimes it is hard to do though. I have a VVT 2UZE in my garage that I pulled and I didn't get compression numbers prior to pulling it. I thought the engine was locked up. Turns out it was a frozen AC Compressor. I'm sure the guy I bought the rig from is going to be pissed at his mechanic who said it was junk.

I Wish I could afford a new one

This is one of those things where you can't afford not to do it. When a bad harness fries your computer or leaves you stranded and you don't know where the short is or why your engine dies.
