Former commercial/instrument rated pilot. Was pursuing a flight career, went to Embry Riddle, then realized that I apparently don't value money (
) and became a fireman/paramedic, because well, I guess that I value being undervalued.
I soloed on my 16th birthday and drove a fuel truck around the airport fueling aircraft literally before I had a driver's license! Could also solo an airplane before I had a driver's license. I had an engine failure of my own shortly after being the first on scene of a 3x fatality (1survivor) Cessna crash and felt a little differently about my career path after that. I think that I wanted to be able to help more, so I pursued EMS. BUT, still hold my private pilot cert, and I'm a couple years out from being able to retire, so I should start looking for a good plane to become partners in.

I've been debating flying mine over there at some point.
I pumped up the nose strut a little to keep the prop higher off the ground did not notice any new dings in the prop. I kept the power low when taxing and rolled the power on slow on takeoff. Did a soft field style take off.
