650RPM is the correct idle, out of gear.

Hmmm. I could swear my book says 800 rpm. It's snowing out there now though... I'll check it tomorrow.

One thing to check is your O2 sensors and associated wiring. Follow the procedure in the FSM. I had horrible rough idle syndrome (HRIS) and spent a good week and $$ replacing parts. Cleaned out the O2 sensor connectors that live under the truck and I tell ya it was like butta. The HRIS came back some years later and the O2 sensors were failing the FSM tests. Both replaced and BABOOM...she runs as smooth as a 21 year old's ass.

DS,

While some may find humour in your choice of an ID and your metaphors, I do not. Could you please keep this immature language in the Chat section and choose a more appropriate ID for your visits here in the 80/100 section.

Thanks,

Wow. For someone with such a nice truck you have a thin skin. Sorry if I offended you with my immature and inappropriate attempt at humor. While I will attempt to control my responses I will not change my username to suit you. My wife happens to own a pet grooming salon and she let me borrow her trademark. If you care to take this up with her I will step back and let the chips fall where they may. I wouldn't wish that on anyone.

(Redneck voice) "That's funny, I don't care who you are." :flipoff2:

-B-'s right with all of the big Mac's these kids are eating you are being way to opitmistic about how smooth your example might be :D Based on your example now a days that could be a real lumpy idle. :whoops:

>> ... you have a thin skin. <<

My skin is quite thick as everyone that's been here for the past 2 years knows. However, I have very low tolerance for juvenile language and attitudes in what should be a forum for the discussion of the 80 and 100 series Land Cruisers. It's obvious that you think the name of your dog grooming business is cute but, combined with your language, that ID is offensive to me.

hehe, he said "ass" ;)

LOL, Dan has never seen one, but now gets to say it atleast. :slap:

Personally, I'm glad I've never made an offensive post. :D

Seriously though, with all the userids going around, this one isn't that bad. I'm just glad he said 21 year old cause that means he's not checking mine out. :flipoff2:

Listen to his diagnosis info though, he knows what he's talking about.

Man, I saw that quote and all I could think about was how much I missed being 21 and in college. :D :D :D
