Hey guys,

I've been designing stickers for the TLCA for a few months now. The first round of TLCA stickers featured a group of five of the most popularly registered trucks in the TLCA: the 40, the 55, the 60, the 80, and the FJ Cruiser. I am currently working on the next round of trucks for the TLCA. Our aim is to eventually have stickers of all the Toyota trucks. This next round will feature the FJ45, the 100 series, and the 4Runner. I'm conflicted on which 4Runner to do though. I want to do the older generation of 4Runners, but I'm not sure which one. I also like the newer generation.

So, I thought I would go ahead and take a poll. Cast your vote and let me know what your opinion is.

Here are said stickers for those who are curious.

1st gen FTW!

To reach the newer crowds though, 5th gen would probably be best.

my question is stock or modified?? some look better stock some look better lifted

I voted 1st Gen, but would say that Phil's 4th Gen would be my second choice, and a coin flip.

My old (Stealman's) 3rd Gen would be 3rd place :)

The front of the 1st Gen looks just like a Mini Truck, which would also be a cool representation - kinda two birds/one stone.

if you're marketing towards newer TLCA members I agree the 5th Gen would be a better marketing move... for the Yota heads, the 1st Gen!

can't wait for the 100 sticker. my MacBook has a spot waiting for it! (so does my rig!)

I've been trying to put a lift on all the trucks I've done. Aside from that, they stay mostly stock.

With the big overlanding scene the 5th Gen seems to be to most likely to be successful that truck seems to have been identified as a top notch "overland" rig or as I put it broverland just like my new neighbors who drive a full size tundra and walk around without shirts on lifting weights in their garage.

No love for the GX? :(:D

Personally, I am a fan of the first Gen but I think Josh is right about the 5th Gen

. . .who drive a full size tundra and walk around without shirts on lifting weights in their garage.

This is why I live in Pittsboro - so no one sees me!

I'm not a current member of ONSC, so I won't vote in the poll. That being said, I was at the Appalachian Toyota Roundup last weekend and there was a large amount of 5th Gen's represented at the event. Attached photos are just a few of the over 300 vehicles at the event.

It seems the 1st gen is the most popular in the polls but there is a building wave of 5th gens. Why can't we just have both? I am in the minority and voted 3rd gen because it is the best of both and IMO the most recognized 4runner.

Another option is to just put an 80 series on there and call it a 4runner. My 80 has been called a 4runner numerous times.

1st are cool.
Lots of people own 5th because financing has gotten so loose.

3rd gen is hands down the best looking of the bunch.

I love the first gen, a bit small for me personally but a fun truck. But I'd think that the point was to draw attention to the TLCA of a large group of Toyota 4WD owners. I'd think 3rd 4th and 5th Gen would be the larger target audience. There are just not to many of the 1st Gens left tooling around.

Loose financing - making America great again!

Along with loose women, loose steering racks and loose . . . .
