my rig is in pretty bad shape, a little bit of rust, back sags, engine doesnt run very well, gets bad MPG, but ive put new seats in it, re upholstered the back bench. cleaned it up. and done a few other things. my dad, suggested that i sell it, for what i can get, for the work ive put in, i might ask 6K, cause its got the potential. and he also suggested, that i buy his 80 series. ARB winch mount. 2 inch lift, tires, IPOR rear bumper. im so confused as to what to do, any input, cause i need help:meh:

Please clarify: does your truck or your dads have the ARB winch mount, 2 inch lift, tires, Iand POR rear bumper? Also, what is the potential of your rig? I woulden't pay $6k for a rusty wagon, But thats me.
Thought about parting out your truck? Do you have the time and space for such a project? Maybe someone and chime in and give their experience on parting out trucks. Might make you more than selling it whole.

his truck has all the mods. mine is stock except for new seats, and knuckle rebuild. its not that bad as far as rust goes, just a little on the rear quarters, probably something some bondo, or fiberglass might fix. potential, is if someone buys it, its a 62, and htere is so much potential, just for those rigs anyways, that anything can be done to them.

I hate to say it but if you look at the past couple of 60/62 wagons that recently closed on ebay, they only went for 4k. Pretty much the reason why i havent sold my old rig and probably never will. well, that and cuz the 62 was my first cruiser!

the last few east coast stock rigs were in the 3 to 4 range and i think the last one i saw out of wv only went for 1 or 2 something but that was that blue and white 60 thing. the market has been funny lately. it seems the 40's are going for good prices and not many 60's or 62's are being moved.

good luck

80 are getting into the 6k range so the value of 60/62 has dropped accordingly. A built up 60 might get some attention but a stocker just doesn't have the draw that they used to.

no offence, but it sounds like the only things the 60 has going for it is good seats, and almost nice body. As much as i hate to say it, i think you would regret passing up a nice rig like your dads 80. So basically i think you should let go of the 60 and try the 80 out. or dump 2 or 3 into a SBC and another K into new suspension.

dude, as much as i lovs 60/62s, i would go for the 80, it just makes sence for the situation that you're in...

I got my 87( 3 weeks ago) for $2,500.00 with low miles (133....) working a-c and No Rust on the body...The only bad thing was the gas tank and Toyota dealer replace it for free on a recall.

Don´t know how much $ you can get on yours but try it on Ebay and make payments on Dad 80 anyway will still in the family and if you don´t pay it in full he can take the money anyway from your Christmas presents
