Would anyone be willing to check out a cruiser for me located in Fort Collins? I am in San Diego and this would also be my first cruiser so me flying there and looking at it would be completely worthless. But me flying there and buying it would be very FUN!!!!! :bounce:

Hope this is the right section for this? :ban:

Anderaa that would be great, I will PM you the sellers info...

Oh and Just A Gril, stop telling people about it!!!! :p

I would guess the "seals replaced" is just the inner bearing grease seal and would not include the axle seals. You might want the seller to clafify (if they can). Replaced axle seals would indicate a birf re-pack was done.

Oh and Just A Girl, stop telling people about it!!!! :p

You'd think it'd be a problem, but I've found that the more eyes looking at it, the more helpful advice gets posted on it.

I found another good one in CT if you don't mind really long distance shopping. Let me know.

Incase anyone was following this here is what Aaron (AKA anderaa13) found":

Mark, I checked out the truck yesterday.

Body- No evidence of body repair. Peeling clearcoat on one flare, very small rust buble on rear hatch, a few other scratches that have some rust on them.

Interior- Not particularly well cared for. Leather is worn but not ripped, dirty carpets and headliner. Missing factory bottle jack. Broken power antenna. Broken button on one power seat. Everything else works.

Mechanical- No service records. Some surface rust underneath. Broken exhaust hanger that has been repaired. Some oil around rear main seal and oil pump. Steering knuckles look fine. There was a strange noise coming from the rear of the truck when pulling into and out of the driveway. I could re-create the noise by pushing/pulling on the top of each rear tire. I didn't have a jack with me, but my best guess is loose rear wheel bearings. Everything worked (including AC and lockers). 50-state emissions.

If I was in the market, I would stay away from this truck. I think you would be disapointed with the amount of rust (seller said he thought the truck originally came from michigan). And if it is the rear wheel bearings that are causing that noise you could be in for some big $ repairs depending on how long they have been loose.

oh,
what a dissapointing vehicle check, I was going to volunteer and if all was a go, he could test drive my 80 to compare when he got out here.

good luck with your search, if i see one i will forward the info to you.
