My PS front blinker is out. The bulb socket is corroded beyond repair. If anyone has spare parts laying around, let me know. I'd prefer to save some coin and avoid the stealership.:hillbilly:

one word:

CDan

oh, I thought there was no rust in AZ

My guess is the bulb socket/wire pig tail is the same on a bunch of Toyota's, Camry, Runner, Taco, etc from the same vintage range. What type bulb does it take?

1156, I believe. I pulled the one off the 'Runner, no such luck. But it is 10 years older.

Let me know if you don't find one. I'll get you a new OE for less than CDan, plus I'm local.

Standard bulb socket, I have had a lot of luck with a battery brush. Of course one that has never seen a battery terminal. I usually keep a virgin one for light sockets.
Pull the fuse, then stuff the tube brush in the hole and give it hell. Afterwards, clean the center contacts. Wipe the socket with di-electric lube, as much of the plating will be lost. Keep the lube coating very thin. Then place a new bulb that has been tested in a different socket. Wiggle it to make sure that it lights, and then keep wiggling it to be sure that it will not fail. Put the socket back into the light. Keep an eye on it! This often fixes it without splicing wires.

Pretty tough to do when the bulb base is corroded to the socket.
Doesn't matter anymore, I took one off an Infinity at Pick a Part.:hillbilly:

Not only are domestic bulb sockets made of an inferior style, the use of any Chevy part might infect the true Toyota with a virus that could spread. The result could be disastrous.
Introduction of any inferior DNA into the truck could result in downgrading the whole truck to the inferior quality level. Keep it Toyota.
If you want to downgrade to Chevy, they have made some great trucks. The K-5 and S-10 blazers are solid machines. Both have been proven tough. You can buy one. But please do not put Chevy in my Toyo! That would be an insult! My poor 80 might be offended. At the very idea, it might get its panties in a bunch and refuse to let the heater turn on. Toyo's are very sensitive, and may tend to get their panties in a bind!
