I need a 2F cylinder Head 1978

Looking for a 1978 2F Head. Casting 61031. May also go for a complete engine. Trying to stay under $200

I have a F.5 complete think those are 76? I don't know if you can use those heads.

Don't see any number except under the valve cover, there is a stamped "40"

Is that were it is?

I thought I heard somewhere of people running these heads for a little more compression but I may be wrong.

It should be stamped on the top of the head itself. It's up front and next to the valve cover. 5 digits long and starts with a 6. I'm going to end up milling the head to get close to 9:1 compression instead of the stock 7.8:1.

Head number is the 61040 number, this is from a newer head. It's right next to piston #2.

Looks like it does work, however I'll have to run premium. (Mike) Myquesttoyota has a 2f head that won't require premium available. If his head check out (no cracks) then I'll go that route, if not I'll be all for your engine. It wouldn't have been an issue if I hadn't already rebuilt the bottom end while the head was being cleaned.
