Been on these forums for almost 20 years........but new to the PNW, and new to the 200 series cruisers.

Have a 2011 LX570 and a military overland trailer that I'm working on.

My main issue is that I have ZERO CLUE on where to wheel or camp, etc in this area, so I have a lot of research to do. If anyone is up in the North Kitsap area, reach out!

@Bullzi might be able to give some recommendations. North of you but not that far.

First, welcome back. The Peninsula has a lot of opportunities for camping but fewer locations for wheeling comparatively. Tahuya is nice and has both camping and an off-road area. An advantage is there are various difficulty trails, and many have a turn out if you find you overestimated your vehicle or abilities. The only negative I have to say about Tahuya is that you have to be mindful because some of the motorcycles go a little faster than I would say is advisable. This should be a good resource since you are just North of the park. There are other locations but that comes to mind as the closest.

Appreciate it!

I got the onx offroad app and that's been very helpful so far in trying to plan out future trips and camping spots.

If you go to Tahuya, shoot me a message. I am South of you, and it is about the same distance for me. Mine isn't kitted out like some but having a second vehicle might add some degree of reassurance when out there. Another thing to consider is that sometimes it gets really backed up as it is a popular Jeep destination.

It would be great to get out with another cruiser. My business is on bainbridge at the day road industrial park, so i am close. Hit me up if you would like to go out for a day on the trails. I also don’t have much experience here.

I’ll be moving out to Tacoma Summer ‘26 and interested in getting out on some trails. Stock ‘20 GX460 but will plan to build out based on needs (with help of local 4x4 shops).
