Went out to the beast to run and get some trim screws for said beast rear hatch carpet, fired it up....RED LIGHT for charging system.

Rev it up, light goes out but volt gage still real low. Well KMA alt or volt regulator must be out.
Shut it down, walk in to spares shelf and grab the 40 buck alternator I got 8 months ago from a mudder, walk out with a bag of tools
and tear into it. 40 minutes later (sticky main bolt) alts changed, no more red lights. Whoohoo!!
Finish trip for screws, call it a night. No bill, no stress only one skinned place on wrist. Still have spare starter and water pump on the shelf for the 5.7. Hopefully toyo alt will last till this summer when I plan to replace all with yard serpentine system and GM accessories. 100 amp alt minimum too. 55Amp system maxed out.
Could have waited till tomorrow but ARB WINCH BUMPER (from a mudder) will be on frieght dock at 11:37pm tonight so I want to get it first thing after work. Be styling when I get the MM 10.5K hydraulic mounted and piped!!!
