Nice truck and welcome to the jungle. I also have a 62 that runs at the 1/4 mark, which should be about normal. When I first got it, it ran at the bottom mark, but when I replaced it with an OEM thermostat it now runs at the 1/4. Also make sure to put some locktite on bolts for the housing, I snapped 3 removing the outlet cover on the original housing and ended up buying a whole new unit. Good Luck

I found out the thermo has been replaced and it just runs cool, prepped for CA traffic already.

Hightide: I will post more details as I go I have alot of work in store the next 3 weeks.

brian: yes it has 33's on it.. and the 31" tire with the chrome spare.

Mike S. no stock I believe, if they did they are removed now, some things have been changed since I bought it from these pictures.

HZJ60 Guy, sorry those are tho ones I got from the owner, I thought it would be nice to see large pictures, I have a 23" monitor, sometimes I forget people are on 15-17's still :-)

euclid: the bumper is going, maybe someone will buy it on here, I'm replace it with a stocker the owner is sending out to me. Yes he welded reinforcement, a bracket behind the bumper.

Landpimp: like I said the winch has since been removed the prev. owner put it on his FJZ80, and I'm offing the bumper, I Was going to donate it to TLC, but they didnt show any interest, maybe I will offer it on here.

...dont' forget about those people on a 12" laptop either!!!

Nice cruiser.

Ok now that I answered the questions, here's whats in store..

I degreased and fully cleaned the under body, had alot of oil, I want to pick up an oil relocation kit from performance products out here in van nuys.

I unscrewed all the door trim panels and lifted up all the carpets and shopvac'ed everything, pretty easy to do, simple greened all the steel, alot of the carpets were sticking to the metal.

We did an oil change(yes im bummed I didn't get the oil relocation kit before i did the oil change).

I filled up that rear senior citizen bladder and replaced all the wipers, I think I destroyed my rear wiper motor, it was working but i tugged on it to move the wiper.. doh! I saw new (used) ones for $75 up on LCparts.

I'm going to get extra vision head lamps at pepboys or autozone per TLC's recommendation.

Tommorrow I'm doing a full new exhaust as the current one is rusted and gone. Having LaBree Motorsports in Canoga Park, who's done my Audi's exhaust work for 3 years, and does awesome work. I stopped by TLC and checked out exhaust, they charge 1275 for the same thing and use cheaper dynomax mufflers when they do it, I'm going to use magnaflow as I had on my audi and replace it with a single ODB II cat.

I'm having TLC do the entire inspection on the 8th, and install a tuffy console, i hate not having an armest(hope girls can still get over the tuffy for some road head j/k).. and I'm getting their air intake to start off, I think it needs about 450 in repairs, some seals and some other stuff.

Hopefully $2500 later I'll have things pretty sweet, and I'm adding the XM radio back to it with an XM commander I believe, was going to get a new headunit, but all I want is the xm radio and a cd player occasionally, so I'll just use the add-on.

I think thats about it for now, I went through and got every screw I'm missing, I ordered a new drivers side sun visor, my plastic was cracked, and a new front drivers turn signal lens, it was cracked.

Should be a fun project car for the next month or so...

down the roar, I'll do new carpets and interior, upgrade to the new carpet style and some more comfy seats with lateral back support(lower back sides)..

I'm a pretty frequent posted on audiworld.com for my audi, so I'll have to start hoping on here too.

forgot I also picked up some hella superhorns from TLC, those will go in tonite.

PM'd you about the bumper... I would still like to see some detailed pictures of how it's set up when you have time.

Sounds like a good plan. Sweet looking truck! Why the ODBII cat? It's an ODBI truck!

One ODBII cat should enable it to pass CA smog versus two cats, save some money, its probably unnessary.

We ran smog on it this morning, passed CA standards, and I'll check it again after we do the entire exhaust..

I'm saving a cat and a flange or two to toss up on ebay or something, maybe someone can make use of them.

This thing is all rusted out, I'll get some pictures up later if possible.
