I have a temporary hack for driving faster than 20 mph in High Mode on a stock LX.

This may be old news to some of you guys but I accidentally stumbled upon what seems to be a way to bypass the 20 mph rule as it pertains to vehicles equipped AHC. So with the engine running and doors closed, put the system in High Mode. Next, put the truck in neutral and place the 4wd system in low then back to high. Your truck should now stay in High mode as long as you are driving and don’t put it back in Park. I’ve tried this several times and have driven for 15 miles or so at 55 mph. Let me know if it works for you guys as well.

i have not heard of this hack, its really interesting because i have read guys will add the slee override so that they can remain on high for a trail run and not constantly have to select high. So if you do this hack and are happy to remain in 4 high for your adventures its a cool option.

Need to test on mine.

Like I mentioned I stumbled upon it last year. I meant to post it afterwards and forgot until today. Today we got hit with some flash flooding and as I was leaving work some of the streets were flooded and I was constantly going from N to H until I remembered the hack. I rode around for 30 mins in traffic and it never went back to N.

Cool! Will have to try this tomorrow. Thanks for sharing.

It actually stays in High after being put in park. It goes back to Normal once the engine is turned off.

got a hack to manually go into extra high mode now that would be epic instead of the system doing it for you when it senses slip.

Does anyone know why Slee discontinued their module? Liability?

Awesome! As a programmer, I love when a missed test-case gets to production (when somebody else programmed it!) :]

Bugs are just undocumented features.

I just gave this a try in my 05 lx470 and no it did not stay in AHC high above 20. I will try again but maybe it only works with certain years
