Went on a short trip to the mountains yesterday and had to take some snow pics.

I will eventually post more, but after doing all the work, the writeup is even harder for me!

So for now pics will have to suffice.

In the end, I am extremely glad I had the bumper custom sprayed. All the work was performed by myself except for the suspension/tire install at 4WheelParts in Tucson, AZ. I didn't have a lift tall enough!

A big THANKS goes out to Ben and Christo at Slee Offroad for all their help in helping me plan and purchase the parts necessary to complete this project. If any of you plan on doing mods, contact them first. Ben was extremely helpful!

P.S. >> Those shoes are 275/70R18 Terra Grappler's. They fit perfectly (including the spare)!

(Mitch: I still need to install your molding!!! Thanks again!!!)

I converted all my lights to HID. The low beams are an HID kit with digital ballasts and 4700K Philips bulbs. The high beams are not HID (b/c you can't flash HID on/off quickly), so they are 165W performance bulbs. The fog lights are IPF lights for the ARB bumper. The Lightforce lights were converted to HID as well.

This light setup is awesome to say the least!

Here are some night shots:

I also saw another 200 series in my neighborhood visiting from Mexico! It was bone stock. I parked next to it (in their driveway) and took some comparison pics.

Here they are!

Great looking rig!

No rubbing on the 33's?

Thanks for posting up the pics...rig looks great. I like that you painted the ARB to match...looks classy. with a darker colour you can get away with the black, but it would stand out something fierce on the silver.

Looks like you mounted the Lightforce without any spacers? You mentioned you were going to space them up, and possibly back? Still have plans, or are you going to leave them?

Mitch...no rubbing on the 33s at all...I have the same measurements as JB and there is just enough clearance everywhere. I'm guessing since you have more offset and a wider wheel, you could even fit a true 33 x 12.5 on there with only minor rub on the front mudflaps.

I don't know what I am going to do with the lights yet. I may just be lazy and leave them. I do not need any spacers below to elevate them. The lens cover is resting right on the edge of the bumper, which is perfect. The only reason I would move them back is so that they don't protrude outwards. It would be quite easy, but I really don't think I will be running into any trees anytime soon and they are way too high for rock damage.

We'll have to wait and see...

I think you would be fine leaving them where they are. I did, and no issues.

Did the guy catch you taking pics in his driveway? Sounds like something I would do...that's if I ever saw another 200.

I kind of like the look of the lights overhanging the front lip actually. It detracts from the completely horizontal 2' section there on the ARB.

I can't remember: are you running the 240's as well? HID?

Nah, the guy never caught me. I'm sure he would have been nice about it though had he seen me.

Mitch, I also forgot to mention that I am using Slee's wiring harness and axillary light harness.

His harness is designed for 2005/2006 lights while our LC's use H11 for low beams and 2005 for hi-beams.

I bought 1x male and 2x female H11 connectors to convert the 2006 pair and soldered those new ends on.

In turn, I guess I disabled the DRLs. I still need to check and figure out why that is, but I'm assuming the 6V through the 9005 connectors is not enough to trip the relay and activate the circuit.

Maybe Christo can chime in here and explain why his harness corrects this, but for me it did.

I used his harness because I wanted to run high performance bulbs without melting the factory wiring. An added benefit was disabling the DRLs. Now, I have a switch in-cab to activate the lights once the hi-beams are on, but I can really leave the switch on all the time and the DRL circuit never actives them.

I hate DRLs because there are those times that you want to be sneaky and immediately kill all your lights. This should also save those bulbs a bit from running all the damn time for no reason.

I am running 240s, but unlike you and Mitch, I went for the plane Jane poor man version...non-HID. I've been reading up on Mitch's install of HID bulbs/ballasts, but am a moron when it comes to anything electrical. I did install my own lights with no fires yet, but I'm really not sure I did them correctly. Oh well, they work.

holy $h!t that looks good! i had been leaning towards the sahara bar because i wanted something a little lower profile, but you are really making me rethink that. in body color the bull bar goes very nicely with the rest of the vehicle.

quick question though...i thought the OME only gave you 3/4 inch lift in the rear. compared with that other cruiser, you look almost 2 inches higher in the back. any ideas on that?

I don't know what OME is smoking. I need to measure mine, but with the 275/70R18 tires, I am about .75" higher because of the radius difference.

The suspension probably gave me another 2-3", so I should have 3-4" of lift. I'd like more, but this will suffice I think.

bout time! Your rig is sick, I love that color and that ARB looks great.

Are all those pics in one spot? nice.

C'mon get some action shots in at least!

Great looking rig though. Some shots of it in action would be better!

JB, I'd be happy to drive it for you while you snap shots!;)

You rig looks great, makes me whant that bumper alot sooner than planned. As far as no rubbing, not even during articulation? Nice.

Jesus, great shots. Yeah, some action stuff would be nice, but I love seeing modded 200s.

You said custom sprayed. I'm assuming it's steel painted silver?

I think I have the only TJM AL in North America.

You and Mobiarc.

It comes from the factory powder coated in black. It's a proprietary finish that doesn't require sand blasting before painting. It will accept paint just from scuffing.

I had the bar painted with my color code (1F7).
