My LC is silver and will have mine colored powdered coated to match just like JB's.
The black ARB on silver would certainly give it an aggressive look, but I want to retain it's modern look and yet be a little more unique. I have yet to see a color matched ARB in my area and it looks a little more classy.

just my $.02:steer:

I had mine sprayed. 2mils of 1F7 color matched paint, then 3mis of clear coat.

It still looks great and matches perfectly. I will rarely ever hit the painted parts, so it wasn't a problem for me. The panels on the underside I left black and those get scraped. I have a few nicks in the paint from rocks, trees, etc. but nothing major. A few very light pinstripes on the sides from bushes, but they could be buffed out if I cared.

For a silver vehicle, I like the color match. On the gray or black vehicles, leaving it would be fine.

I didn't look too much into powder coating because it's a PITA. First, you would have to completely sand and/or sandblast all of the factory powdercoat off. Basicly, it wasn't worth it for me and I heard that there could be issues color matching power perfectly. I don't know how accurate that is, but paint was the way to go for me.

This info is from ARB USA as well...down under, they are all color matched via paint.

Thanks JB for the info on your painted ARB. I just assumed they powdered coated them. I am sure they will have mine painted then. Did they give you extra touch up paint for the nicks?

Nah, but I can get 1F7 just about anywhere.
