i bought an 85

this truck was for sale on the paragon forum, it was only up the road, so i picked it up on tuesday;p

the bed is in rough shape, the frame has a couple small holes that i can see(its not clean but its not broken yet, lol)
its an 85 sr5, 22re, front fenders have been replaced, its only got 126k on it, runs and drives fine and its inspected, im going to start fixing it up and sell the tracker

anyone need a roll bar, nerf bars, or a rear bumper?...they'll be coming off soon

maybe i'll just build a whole new tube frame...the bed is almost junk anyways

i'd love to buy your cap for it, but i dont think this bed is worth the time trying to save it, i wont be sure until i pull the bed off and see how bad it is underneath

Damn. For $450 I would have tried to break the frame at rausch. I am really starting to get mini envy with all you guys. Just so you all know I still want one. So, keep an eye out.

yeah for the price i paid im not complaining...its not as nice as sean's 85...but it has potential;p

here's my thinking;p...first off, remove the roll bar, nerf bars, and rear bumper, clean up the interior, change some fluids and tune up the engine...pull the bed off, fix the frame, and figure out from there whether i want to fix the bed up enough to use it or build a tube/flat bed, i'll probably build some sliders, and if i keep the bed, a nice tube rear bumper

it'll get rear springs up front and some ford or chevy rear springs, new vented front rotors and a rebuild kit in the front axle, manual hubs instead of the autos, and if i can afford it..an ifs box and histeer kit...and some 31-32" at's or mt's....no gears or doublers for now

...thats all for now...im sure once i get it into the shop and start workin on it, there'll be more

Scrap that bed. I know where you can get a nice one, all you have to do is bolt it on. Half of its even the right color. Just need something to replace it with? Wonder what could be put there?

im not sure if i want a bed that is that nice yet, then i'll be the one to get yelled at when it gets dented...besides, this truck is flat tan, not white;p
