Oh my god what an ignorant, statement.
(With all respect)
Since you are from the US of A you probably are ignorant about the capabilities of the 70 series.
Ever since the evolution of the 80 series, and subsequently the 100 series, and now the 200 series, Toyota has focused more on comfort that off road capabilities.
For pure off roaders Toyota keeps rolling out the 70 series just like it did to the 40 series. This year the new 70 series has a new look but its just cosmetic everything inside and outside is exactly the same as it was.![]()
That's the thing..Sometimes we, as people fail to realize how important it is to be grateful for what we already have...If it's a 60, 80, or 100 that one was fortunate enough to have the knowledge to build him/herself, or pay to have done..If it's
just being able to recognize that not everyone, in this day and age,
could even afford the cost of fuel to drive one of these things at all..Every one of us, needs to remind ourselves, that we are lucky to have what we've got...Then, we can truely recognize the 200 for what it is...The evolution of excellence that we've all excperienced in the landcruiser we already own...Lucky are we all.

None of us here in the US are ignorant to the 70 series, we just dont get to have them here. They are very cool but for most of us they are not a viable option.
And they are not the ONLY REAL Cruiser.![]()
You seem to keep repeating yourself. The 'real' cruiser was the 40 series which evolved in to the 70 series. The rest of them are Kerb Krawlers. Keep using the highways!

This comment has NOTHING to do about me. It's very common in our little walk through life. SOME people complain about the very things they would like but cannot afford. It's not personal. It doesn't relate to my or anybody elses amount of coin.
Reality is that many on this forum and others in their walk through life would luv to have:
*A built and tricked 100 despite IFS
*A new 2008 Cruiser
*A Corvette Z06
Some can admit the merits of the above AND comment they can't afford them. Some would LUV to have the above though they down-play their merits due to personal pocketbooks and/or situations where they cannot get what they want. In other words they are dishonest with themselves and others.
Some folks would become instant hypocrits if all of a sudden one of the above examples would show up in their driveway. The very next day, once it was THEIRS, they'd point out how sweet it is.
I beg to differ, sir. The 80 series, with it's coil springs, solid axles and locking diffs front and rear is as real a Land Cruiser as the 40!
