I may be missing a few pieces. There were about 30 tiny pieces scattered throughout the box. It will be awhile before I can start assembly. My number one project (my shop build) is taking a lot of my time and I will be traveling for work next week. But I will get to it as soon as I can.

Don't worry I'll reprint the hinges for you. Once they fall out of the pouch it's easier to make a new set. Also those hinges are test prints and before I dried the filament.

And that door is very flimsy, that's just a test print and a physical reminder that we have 45s coming, as well as a reminder of why I'm leaning towards petg and PLA plus as a minimum.

Take your time boys, I feel ya on the being busy thing. We will get through this together and next year do our first RC meet somewhere!

And everyone is missing pieces. We will work on figuring out what is missing and get it off to you guys. Wheels, gearbox and extra hinges will start tonight in carbon fiber PLA/PETG.

Just a firm reminder these are only plastic parts, and I don't want anyone getting bummed out if you break one. Its very easy for us to replace anything broken when we make it ourselves/not worth your precious time and energy stressing over. Just report it here and we will get your taken care of.

Filament dryers definitely one piece of the puzzle. Once the linear rails get here I am going back for the display kit. Fingers crossed but the green has not clogged since I started rebuilding hotends; waiting on parts to finish the rest/6 more to rebuild so I can make our kits and vases at same time.

If anyone wants to see what a color looks like in person, you can request a vase from me; a donation of a few bucks to help me cover shipping appreciated. I'm making the first 100 models now.

These are printed with 1.2 and 1mm nozzles so they are much thicker than your typical 3d printed vases; this translates into a lot more strength due to the walls being about 4-5 times thicker than average.

This is one way I plan on strengthening our parts in the future. 1 wall at 1.6mm thick is much stronger than 4 walls at .4 each squished together. Refer to top of last photo to see what a 1.6mm wall looks like.

Okay…got a package. Cleaned and sorted. I’ll have to figure out exactly what’s missing and report back. My kids wanna jump right in, but that’s about all I can do right now.

Wasn't planning on buying another printer today but came across this on twitch/facebook.

This deal is nuts; trust me on that! But limited quantity of only 1.

If anyone wants to send one of these my way, i will use it to make you a display it as a way to pay you back; ill cover all electronics and etc.

Alternatively, if you Want to buy one for yourself, i will show you how to make any part you need with it. I will share all my settings and whatever you need, as long term the best route is to teach everyone how to make their own replacement parts.

Ends on 9:15.

I can also send you money if you can order one for me as i would love as many as i can get at this price.

It comes from the factory with linear rails so needless to say, i can get better prints than what i've sent you this past week. Those were made using wheels/rollers motion system.

The first KP5L is here, time to test these rails! Second one coming tomorrow. Will be live a little layer and begin production again soon. I've been busy catching up on maintenance and setting up the bigger rolls, as well as getting my little ebay shop going. Also been busy on the software/programming end as that is a big part of running these machines and fine tuning them.

With upgrades to hotend and motion system coming, I figured the filament is best used after the upgrades - main reason for delaying.

The two KP5L I just scored (again, amazing deal/will VENMO someone money to order me another as I used my coupon already) will get us by for now. @Hiluxforever @The Jade Bean @mrboatman @bryson @Michael B Let me know if you don't want your coupon and I'll Venmo you the total cost to get another machine for myself. The best time to buy is when prices are lowest, and that time is now!

I'll keep a feed on the KP5L ovet next 2 days for those on the fence about grabbing a printer themselves or for those who want to check on progress.

This is how it works if you have a printer that is in my arsenal and you need a part:

1. You tell me what part you need.
2. I send you file that is compatible with your printer.
3. You plug it in and print, pick up part from plate in the morning.

Big thing is my slow self won't slow you down; having a printer in your home is good for making parts you need, like today! Akso filament costs is very low; Especially if I provide for you.

I will teach you the rest as well.

And those who can't afford the time or energy to deal with a new machine, don't worry you still have me.

Anyways, time to get going so I can get some work done.

I also set this up over break to get the big rolls of 3mm into the mix. This is for making big parts.

With hotend upgrades coming means higher temp filaments will come into play soon/I have began preparing for that. I am waiting mainly on polycarbonate and nylon carbon fiber - likely our default material in the future for suspension, shafts, axles, gears etc.

And setup bins and auto ejection so vases do not take a lot of my time. They are the easiest prints out of everything I plan on making and can be automated so that I can focus attention on the more difficult prints; the fj kit being on the other end of the spectrum in terms of difficulty.

This baby uses not just linear rails, but sgr rails on all axis. I'm stumped as to how it can be so cheap as the metal parts alone when self sourced is the cost of the entire machine. I'm seriously about to swap our FJs over to these and would love some more!

Last day for sale. Let me know if you don't want to snag one for yourself and want to use your coupon to help me get another. Code and link a few posts up. I will venmo you the full cost if you want to snag one on my behalf.

This benchy (the standard test print in 3d printing world) is about to come out really clean, trust me. I'm very excited to see what kind of fj parts we can make with this little gem. I don't even think I need to do any tuning from here and probably go straight from unboxing second one to fj parts. I'll be live for a while if you want a peek.

Calibration parts passed inspection on the two Kingroons I just got (bearing fitment test), carbon fiber petg gearboxes have began. These are long prints, over a day per machine per gear box and I am making each of us one.

Had 2 fails on one to forgetting simple things like loading up a fresh roll (was using old roll to run tests), and forgetting to provide a low-friction travel path for filament.

Other one went much better, and I'm loading up two fresh rolls, making very minor changes and queuing up more of the same prints; belt-drive gearboxes for our RC LCs.

Loving these kingroons and the sgr rails BTW, although it is an older model and I wouldn't recommend for new users; you need autoleveling. They have help coming; my friend and his sister got me two more which is going straight to work as soon as they get here.

Be live in an hour.
