Not that anyone thinks I'm spending my testers donations on cocaine and scratch offs, but I like to keep things as transparent as possible. I don't want anyone losing sleep wondering what they're getting and when they're getting it.

Anyways, I gotta go get my coffee and get going. Almost done with hinges, wonder what we gonna que up next!

Seats and door panels are dark gray or black for a stock LC. Also the post office gives there boxes away. You can even have them delivered, if you don’t have time to go there.

Good to know, I will adjust accordingly. I am making a set of beige and white seats, then retuning if needed. I will end up making some in black before I ship them off for ya.

Also good to know on the boxes, thank you.

Also, to help some of you guys decide:

If you want to build your own, just know that you have me to guide you, as well as have a very well-put-together manual to assist you: https://docs.google.com/presentatio...PqohaaBhJv1oVyPL9_yI/mobilepresent?slide=id.p

I will also send you spare parts if needed, so it's okay to make mistakes. I have broken a bunch of parts and will remind everyone where extra caution needs to be taken as we go.

Let me know if you'd like to build yours alongside the ones I am building for those who prefer ready-to-run, and I will portion your kit into a package for ship, rather than onto the "awaiting assembly shelf".

I am thinking I will make another thread dedicated to assembly to make it easy to reference assembly related things.

I am looking forward to the carpal tunnel from building my own. 🤓

I have a nice low powered, speed controlled drill. No carpal tunnel here😉
^Ditto

I basically only hand tighten where the drill cannot reach. Remember to have a 2mm bit handy, as there are over 100 2x8 screws that hold together all the little details.

There are a few parts I hand tighten, namely the parts that look like it could maybe snap if not careful during assembly; like the skinny part on the "glasses". Dont worry we will get to that. My 20V drill on the lowest setting does quite well, and is actually about the perfect amount of torque.

Hand tightening is if you really want to strive for perfection. I'm okay with being mediocre on this one.

That and its very satisfying drilling into these parts, especially if you're me and you made them. Every part that fits is a little victory.

I have a couple of 12 volt drills and a 12v screwdriver, as well.

On paper everything matched up, and part of why it took so long to order electronics was confirming dimensions and compatibility.

However, things dont always line up in reality. I will make battery trays slightly (1-2mms) longer for final version, or look for a battery 1-2 mm shorter. Not a big deal, just trim the tray a little as that side is meant to have an opening anyways. I sliced a little off each side then snapped it off pretty easily.

Don't worry. The seats box will hold it in place.

Almost done relocating our parts and spare parts to somewhere safe from brothers doggo. I will use the shelf as a packing area and put more printers back inside/underneath tomorrow, and get them going with filling in missing parts.

Sharpened my Tetris skills in the process; this is where the bulk of parts from the living room went.

Forgot to update last night:

7 printers on my desk making fj40 parts, 5 carbon fiber petg and 2 tuning for tpu seats.

3 are currently testing tiny nozzles (.2/half of standard) to see if it makes a difference on the little details. Its looking like not worth the extra print time versus a .4mm nozzle, but I will run a few tests just to make sure.

4th photo is the first carbon fiber petg differentials. Previous ones have been pla carbon fiber, which is also very nice.

Last photo is update on packing-area shelf/more things safe from dog.

Loving the camera upgrade going from the iPhone 8 to this Samsung s10. I only use hand-me-downs so I get excited about things from 5 years ago.

Decided I need a bigger packing area, so the garage tables it is. Doing some more shuffling things around tonight to put printers back inside, and to turn garage into packing area for printed parts. Also I will get all remaining parts off the floor and somewhere safe from doggo.

Also need to rebuild a few hotends and finish cleaning kitchen to make space for assembly.

Last thing for now, I will list all the filament in the kitchen on ebay to make space to fully convert kitchen to valuable build, tools and parts storage space.

Will likely take 2 days, hopefully, to get this batch of tasks done. After the boys are up and going making missing parts, the filament in kitchen is listed and the garage tables are clear, I will be able to sit down and portion out kits.

Before pictures.

Master bedroom is now packing area. Lots of room in there to portion out kits.

Also put the filament we like aside, and will post the rest on ebay to raise funds to pay off KVP/order the custom original 40 colors.

2nd photo is what I am listing, 3rd and 4th is what I put In closet to keep. This includes plenty of carbon fiber petg.

Last photo is in the pile I am listing on ebay, but I noticed the glowing green pla in there, @The Jade Bean is this close to "spring green"? If it is I won't list it. I have a limit of 100 items per month on ebay, and can't list everything anyways. Also, if you see a color listed that you like, let me know so i can put it aside. With that said, I haven't listed anything yet; will do tomorrow after some rest. Had a long night of moving a literal ton of stuff around (in filament), maybe more.

Also reinforced the shelf/everything is off the floor and in the master bedroom/kitchen now. Pictures next post.

21 hours to print a full set of seats, 2.1 seconds for doggo to destroy. He got the test prints, don't worry. I just bring it up because that's why i am doing all this shuffling around, so that I can close off the master bedroom and not worry. I also didn't like the idea of keeping the stuff in the garage.

Between the currently unused master bedroom and bathroom, there is plenty of space to lay out some kits. I could even get the kitchen back for assembly and tools, and not for filament and parts storage.

Tomorrow I plan on finishing cleaning my desk and kitchen, and going to keep kitchen as assembly area for a while.

That green looks pretty close.
