Well,

After what I thought was a very long search for the perect 80... I finally found it and bought it! Last night I bought Silver Scout's 1997 LX450 which also used to belong to Hoser. It is Dark Green Emerald with biege interior, only 83,000 miles, OME 2" lift, 33" tires, ARB up front, Warn Winch and Hanna Sliders ( gotta figure out how to get the passenger side slider on, so Ken Hanna, if you reading this, please e-mail me for dierctions on installation).

After purchase, I had a 70 mile drive to get the LX back home and literally fell in love with it. It was very smooth and quiet doing 70 mph all the way back to Sacramento. After unloading all the extra parts I received, the interior is in excellent conditon, just like the owner promised.

I can't wait to hook up with the local 80 guys here in Sacramento now that I finally have my rig.... pictures to follow!!!

Well, I now owe my wife Starbuck's at her every becon call and I hear her smacking her lips for a mocha... talk soon.

Nice. Do you mind if I ask how much you got it for? I'm shopping for a 80 right now (96 or 97) and was just curious to see what everyone was paying.

If you e-mail me direclty at ndago@sbcglobal.net I'll give you more details about the pruchase price.

You are going to love it! I am enjoying my LX thoroughly.

I have about the same mods planned in the future that your truck came with... A bit jealous :)

PICS?

Congratulations, Nick! You scored an exceptionally clean 80 loaded with new aftermarket parts. When I heard SilverScout was selling it, I was tempted to buy it back. :) Nice to know it went to a fellow mudder.

WTF? I just wheeled with silverscout 2 weeks ago, he didn't say anything about getting ride of the cruiser...Very clean cruiser, and capable..

Nice purchase, it is always nice to buy a rig that someone else has done most of the work to. Keeps the pipe dreams to a minimum..

Thanks guys. Normally I like to do the mods myself because that is half the fun of having these types of vehicles. But, in this case, I couldn't pass up the cost saving of having the vehiclel basically built the way I wanted it from the get go. I look forwad to hooking up with you guys and Silverscout in the future for some wheelin'

The best part is that now I can be an active memeber of this board!!!
