Looking at purchasing a HZJ75 crew cab truck (right hand drive) and was wondering how much leg room the driver has in this truck. Truck is several states away so I can’t just go sit in it.
I am 6’5” and a big guy so just wanted to see if it would have enough room for me.
As a point of reference my FJ 60 is fine for me but I can’t drive a FJ80 without repositioning the seat frame further back.
Any help would be appreciated!

I suspect the number of "crew cab 75 Series Ute's" that are in the U.S. can be counted on one hand without using all of your fingers so receiving a timely answer to your question may not be forthcoming. Good luck however. Hopefully someone outside of the country can help out.

Short answer: no. I am 6’ and have driven that model, possibly the very same rig, and I can tell you it feels cramped. Definitely designed for smaller people. Awesome truck tho!

Can’t help with the crew cab, but I’m 6’5” and it’s a little cramped in my BJ74. I was cramped in an 80 as well. Actually most vehicles im cramped in. I plan on making seat extensions. I’ve heard about a 2” makes a huge difference in leg room, although I’m not sure how that works in the crew cabs.

Pictures!

A few inches makes a big difference which is witnessed in the 79 Series cab when compared to the 75 Series.

The best way to over come the lack of leg room is to raise the seat, there is plenty of head room. I always found the driving position too low anyway.

Placing a cushion in the seat (poor man's way of raising the seat) will also make a difference.

+1 on raising the seat. Some moons ago I added some risers, gaining about 2", and pushing the seat back about 1" on a HZJ73. This gave my 6'4" frame some breathing room but didn't cast the weight too far back which can put a lot of stress on / reduce the effectiveness of suspension seats. I also raised the front of the seat more than the back to provide more leg support.

That's strange, because unlike overseas models such as HZJ75 there are figures readily available for those two US models and FJ80 has more legroom than 60 series. I think it's about 2 inches more. Must be seat height, as others have suggested.

My FJ62 did not have enough legroom for me at 6'5" so I put in extensions.
