Hi Guys,

I am trying to figure out what tiresI should try out this time around. I need a set for an HZJ with 16 inch rims and would like to get 33 tall 10.5 or even thinner. I like the bfg 33x9.50x15's but there is no equivalent in 16 inch.

I also want them to be a/t's. All I have been able to find that interest me are Revo's and BFG's AT's but the 33's they make are 11.5 inches wide, or if i go to a 32 then I can get a 9.3. I like thin as they work better in most offroad conditions, and I find them easier on the drivetrain/steering components.

Any suggestions?

Will mostly be for road use with some hardcore mud and snow wheeling on occasion.

Thanks for your help.

Hmm, that gives me just under 32 inches in a BFG a/t, would like a bit more height, but maybe a smaller tire is better for that engine.

but that would be *true* inches as opposed to the usual *advertised* inches.
If you can find the 255/85 in AT -nothing available here- you'll be golden. It doesn't really get any tall/skinnier

Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

255/85R16

Cooper ST (more open tread, deep tread, siped)
Toyo M-55 (more streetish tread, used by many on mining/logging backroads)

Someone on this site started a thread about 255/85R16 sizes and makes available. Forget which section.

My local tyre dealer says he can get a 34 inch tyre to fit a split rim ,maybe like the 255/85R16 Greg mentioned
It has about 9 in of tread.
Beanz2 has something like that on one of his cruisers;)
