Anyone else think its strange that its supposed to take a hard left and hit NJ instead of New England.

To all our friends from Gotham stay safe.

Does seem odd. Been working out on the island prepping the camp for it's impact.
I feel a lot of these storms are over hyped but this one seems like the real deal... Could pack a punch.

There are so many oddities with this storm the reason it is going to bang a left like that is that 2 out of every 1000 days there is a stationary high over Iceland very rare in itself yet it will steer sandy inland but really cause even more damage to the New England coast by not hitting us head on but instead give us a sustained surge
Was out kiting this am and the water already has an odd feel the vineyard and Nantucket are Going to feel it but Long Island is in for a long couple days
I may need a new home soon):

So who is working today? My office closed for at least today.

It is gigantic... 900 miles wide, and recording record low barometric pressures. Crazy meteorological stuff out there.

That didn't take long... Power out on my job site.

Wrapping it up and heading home.

Wasv told 2 hrs ago everyone is leaving at noon office closed tommrow maybe wed also, would imagine some of us will get called out for tree removeal again, looks like nice quiet time to come into work and do some wrenching on the cruiser

I'm at work. I work for the electric company they sent me to an area that has been evacuated. The power has to stay on. Electricity and water don't mix. They told us don't worry about getting stranded we rented some boats. Yeah great lucky me. This sucks

Stay safe will.

Made cookies with my my oldest today and did some painting. If I have tomorrow off too I'll be getting some Cruiser time in.

Pretty calm here- maybe 15 mph winds-sun just peeked out- waiting.....

Just ride it out.

There's no way the cameraman recording a segment on the beach isn't shaking his camera a little more for added effect.... I worked on an Island for a majority of the day and it wasn't that bad.

That so unlike the media to overdo things....

Another overhyped storm. "Frankenstorm" "Superstorm" Yeah riiiight!!!

Power out here line down in front of our house tried to drive the mile to the beach to see the 30 foot waves and trees down everywhere
High tide this am cause bad flooding expecting a 10 foot surge in an hour or so
Best part was swerving around vynil siding getting sucked off a house i
