Traded my gray / black 14 LX on a CPO 16 LX / nightfall mica / Cabernet

56k miles on the traded 14

13k on the 16 CPO... all options minus rear TVs. A+ condition... Still smells new.

74k for 16 / 45 on trade for 14.

Did I do alright? I can take the beating if not :)

If you are happy, it was a great deal! Congrats!

Thanks! I am in town visiting family for Xmas. I didn’t plan on trading out my 14, but it seemed like a solid deal (negotiated yesterday and today), so I took the plunge. To date I’ve had a 14 land cruiser (bought with 7500 miles), traded on a 14 LX 10 months later (with 19k miles), and now this one I traded my 14 in on 2 years to the day, with 13k Miles. The unlimited mileage CPO looks like a solid deal as well. I got hosed buying my last one days before Lexus made the change from 100k to full unlimited...

I'd say you did better than the national average for the color and mileage without the CPO. With CPO, you did pretty dang good on the color combo. Congrats!

Thanks! Some of it was gut feeling, but I really like the color combo, and I thought I did alright on pricing.... but wanted to consult the experts here to really determine if I was right or not. :)

If you’re happy, you’re gold!

Thanks! Just took it to dinner.... definitely a big leap forward as far as interior toys goes. The 8 speed will take a little getting used to after having the prior transmission for 60k or so miles, but I’m happy

What drew you to to go through 3 vehicles in 2 model years - did the features change dramatically to justify the trade in delta? Curious as the 200 seems to be a vehicle that could go for 300K+.

I’m also curious if you notice any substantial difference in the driving experience between the 14 and 16. I really like the facelift in 16, but I haven’t driven the 16+ LX so it’s hard for me to say if the cost increase is worth it. I have driven the 16+ LC and I thought it was appreciably nicer visually but didn’t think it drove any better than a pre facelift one.

Definitely nothing negative about the 14 that drove me to trade. I really liked the updates to the interior. This was a chance to get all of my equity out of the 14, plus some more, and get a fair price on a 16, the upgraded interior, and the unlimited mileage warranty. The 14 LC to 14 LX was a similar story.

As far as differences, the two things I immediately noticed is that the 8 speed drives differently than the 6 speed. No surprise there. That’s not negative or positive, but just a noted change. Also, in each 16+ I’ve driven, it seems as if there is more sound deadening material between the engine and interior, as it is quieter inside.

Being unmarried without children, there wasn’t anyone to tell me no either :)
